At St. Vincent de Paul of Alpena, we turn second hand shopping into an upscale experience. We’re committed to providing high-quality, gently used merchandise to the community in a tasteful, affordable way. We are always looking for donations.
We gladly accept donations at these times:
Monday - Friday 9 AM to 4 PM
Saturday 10am to 2pm
We will not accept items that are ripped, torn, stained, broken, worn out, having missing parts, are full of animal hair, have musty odors, or bodily fluids of any kind, we reserve the right to refuse donations that we rate as non-sellable
Under Michigan Penal Code 750.552a we do have permission to fine persons who leave items which are non-sellable and as a means of dumping unusable items
We will not accept the following:
Infant car seats or cribs
Mirrors without frames
Copies of VHS tapes, and personal CDs blank or not. (All media MUST be in the original case)
Building supplies of any kind
Anything marked flammable, poisonous or hazardous.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society gratefully acknowledges donations from manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and other companies. Donate your excess inventory, unsold merchandise, or items with minor imperfections. By donating, you help Alpena and surrounding families in need, and practice green business by minimizing your landfill usage. Donations are also tax deductible.
